Don't Buy This Product #1

Hi girls!  I will be starting a series on what not to buy or waste your money on at the makeup counter or even at a drugstore. These are my opinions and experiences that I have had with these products. Enjoy!

This is just a quickie review on a product that I encourage NO ONE to buy! It's called the Maybelline Shine Free Pressed Powder. It's sounds perfectly normal right? Well, I went in and bought this product and from the first (and LAst) time I used it, it had the exact opposite affect on my skin! My nose was so oily after only 3 hours at school that I could probably make money off of the amount of oil that had developed on my nose. If you have this product, does it work for you? Because  my skin type is combination and it completely defeats the purpose of the product! I love Maybelline products but this one really stunk! Please comment and subscribe below! What other pressed powders didn't work for you?

Benefit Boing Eyebright To Go

Hey girls! I have been so busy with family, school, and friends that I haven't blogged for so long! I'm sorry :( But today I am blogging about something that I have  had on my mind since I first saw it. It's the Benefit Boing Eyebright To Go! Not only do I love Benefit and mini travel sized items that I can just keep in my bag on the go, but these are two bestselling products from them. The are sold only at Ulta stores for only (ready?) $12! Boing itself retails for $18 and Eye Bright retails for $20 each! This is great if you look into the mirror at school and look a little tired from those dark circles under your eyes! Or, if one of your pimple "friend" pops out of nowhere during the day! This is a great product that I have yet to buy! Tell me what you think about this sassy duo of products! Have a great Sunday! Comment below and subscribe!

Review: Stila Travel Limited Edition Palettes

So this winter break I was at my sister's house on vacation. Turns out, she had the most amazing Sephora EVER! I got three Stila Limited Edition Palettes and I absolutely adore them! They are high-quality, pigmented, and can easily fit into your purse or schoolbag. The ones I mention below are the ones bought only by me and tried by me individually. Nobody is sponsoring me or paying me for these products! Also, all pictures are from Google images. So let's get to it! And btw, all palettes were only $10 each!

The fist Stila palette I tried was called 'Make An Impression In Moscow' palette in No. 4
This palette is perfect for cold weather and windy nights. It has 4 shimmer colors and one convertible color that can be used as a cream blush or as a tinted gloss.

Names of the colors
Top left hand corner: Matryoshka
Upper right hand corner: Nadia
Bottom left hand corner: Chill
Lower right hand corner: Mink
Convertible color: Lily

The next palette I bought was called the 'Pretty in Paris' palette in No. 2. This is the ultimate color palette for a girl who loves neutrals and ultra-chic colors. Again, they are so pigmented and very high quality!

                                                                  Names of colors
Top left hand corner: Crepe
Upper right hand corner: Cherie
Bottom left hand corner: Jolie
Lower right hand corner: Chocolat
Convertible color: Rosebud

The final palette that I purchased from Stila was called the 'Road to Radiance Across the U.S.A.' palette in No. 1. This palette is for the all natural and girly girl. This palette has fun names and great colors that can be used almost everyday! Pinks and neutrals galore!

          Names of colors
Top left hand corner: Snow Bunny
Upper right hand corner:Valley Girl
Bottom left hand corner: Southern Belle
Lower right hand corner: City Chic
                                                           Convertible color: Hibiscus

So that's my review on these amazing palettes! Also, (I know this for a fact) that when me and my friend went to Ulta, they were also there as well as on the website and on the Sephora website. I'll link those down below! At Ulta, there were the 'Fabulous in Fiji' and 'Trendsetting in Tokyo' palettes! They are only there for a limited time so get your hands on these great palettes! Please leave comments below and subscribe! Hoped you enjoyed this rushed review!

Top 10 Drugstore Makeup Picks For January

Drugstore products are great for everyday use because they are easy to find and also easy on your wallet. These are the drugstore products that has worked for me since mid-December and that I have continued to use throughout the new year. All pictures are from Google images and the things mentioned (such as stores and brands) are not sponsoring me in any way and I purchased all of the products by myself! So let's get to it!

#1 Primer:  This primer is called the L'Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base Primer. It's works amazing and all you need is one dab on your finger for full coverage. It's creamy, ultra-toning, and has no fragrance, just the way I like it! The price I got it for was 11.99 at ULTA. Sometimes they have deals going on like buy two L'Oreal products and get the third free!

#2 Lipgloss: this is called the Covergirl Wetslicks Amazemint Lipgloss. It is a creamy, not-too-sticky lipgloss that freshens your breath and keeps your lips moist and covered for at least 2 hours! This is all from experiance at school and just shopping around! I find that it stays on and tints your lips various colors! This is normally around
6 dollars and sometimes more at some drugstores.

#3 Liquid Foundation: The best liquid foundation that is super cheap and good quality is the Maybelline Mineral Power Perfecting Liquid Foundation and is about 4.39 at ULTA stores! It is a one ounce bottle that lasts literally forever! The longest it has lasted me is three months! It has your skin tone color spot-on and gives you light to medium coverage throughout the day!

#4 Chapstick: The best chapstick that I have been using since I was a little kid is the Lip Smackers Chapstick in Wild Raspberry and Bubble Gum. These smell so good and gives such a good base for your lipgloss and actually makes it stay longer! The thing that I really adore about this product is that it's only about 2 dollars and gives your lips a shine like a lipgloss. This morning, I went to my local grocery store and swiped this across my lips without any makeup on. It mad my lip shine without any lipgloss!

#5 Eyeshadow Quads: The best makeup quads that I have ever come across that are super cheap but high quality and ridiculously pigmented are the e.l.f. (eyes lips face) eyeshadow quads. These are only a dollar! Yes, you heard me! A dollar! They are high-end products that are specifically sold at Target stores and come in many different themes. Matte Mauve, Drama, Silver Lining, and Ivy (shown) are my favorite!

#6 Eyeshadow singles: The best eyeshadow singles that I always go back for are the Maybelline high-pearl eyeshadow singles that are so pigmented and come in beautiful colors that are almost dupes for MAC! These are about 3.29 at ULTA but sometimes are on sale and once I got mine for 1.29! Just keep an eye out at your drugstore or ULTA store! My personal favorites are Urban Brown and Sparkling Wine (shown).

#7 Eyeliner: My favorite eyeliner is a gel liner from Maybelline. It's called the
Maybelline Eye Studio Geli Liner in black. This gel liner is the best one ever! It glides on so nicely and shapes your eyes perfectly! This is so creamy and pigmented and if bought at Walmart stores, come with an eyeliner! At Walmart, this product is about 8-9 dollars. It is a great buy and has a great amount of product made of a thick formula that makes you use only a small amount of the product, making it last for so long!

#8 Mascara: The Covergirl Lashblast Fusion in Black is a keeper! All I can say is that it is a great lengthing and volumizing mascara that gives you such a batted-eyelash look. These range from 6-8 dollars at some drugstores.

#9 Eye Pencil: The best eye pencil I have come across just this past week is the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk (shown). They come is various different colors and have a lot of product. This can serve as a base, eyeliner, or eyeshadow and are very versatile. I bought mine at ULTA for 4.19. Another personal favorite is the same Jumbo Pencil in Yogurt. These glide on so smooth and blend into almost everything! A great buy!

#10 Loose Powder: The best pressed powder EVER is the Physicians Formula Organic Wear Loose Powder! The best part about this product is that it's organic and very useful! It gives your look a perfect airbrushed finish and doesn't make your skin oily at all! This ranges from 8-10 dollars but lasts for about 2-3 months! The tones and color matching are also spot on and true to the color on the packaging!

My TOP Nail Polish Picks for 2011!

Nail polish is one of those things that never will go out of fashion or get old! These picks are my own opinion and have been tried out or recommended to me by my friends. So lets get started!

#1 Gift of Gold by OPI
This is such a festive rich gold color for that one glam party that everyone attends. This glittery-gold color is great to pair not just with gold but with white, dark blue, and even dark charcoal gray colors.

#2 Plum Full Of Cheer by OPI
This is a rich grape color that is great for those cold winter and transitioning-into-spring months! This color doesn't pop on an outfit but rather binds it together, making you look both chic and sophisticated.

#3 Rose Petals by OPI
Rose Petals is perfect for spring! It's a soft, pink and coral color that softens an outfit or makes it pop on white!

#5 For Audrey by China Glaze
This polish has created such a big buzz on YouTube and I can see why! It's literally the definition of a POP to your outfit! This is a great color that makes people look twice!

#6 Ruby Pumps by China Glaze   This color is a bright red color that makes your hands look classy and modern. Red is a color that pretty much go with everything! Well, except for yellow because you wouldn't want to be mistaken for Ronald McDonald!

#7 Coney Island Cotton Candy by OPI
This is a great everyday nail polish for spring and summer! It's a soft creme color that tones down an outfit! This has a cute name and the perfect amount of sheerness!

The Daily Beauty Fix

Every other day it's nourishing to your skin to place two cucumbers on both of your eyes and leave them there for 5-10 mins. This helps the whites' of your eyes appear whiter and brighter and leave you looking more awake without even applying makeup to look! For a maximum affect, keep the cucumber in the fridge for a cold affect on your eyes that shock them and make them look even brighter and gives you an invigorating effect. This will last for about a day and may as well be a substitute for eye drops. This natural way to keep your eyes white can be repeated every other day as well as three or four times a week. Try it out and tell me what you think! Leave comments below!
